The Academy represents one of the largest private tennis clubs in the country.

Our three outdoor courts are surfaced with the highest quality multi-purpose carpet surface - see below.

We have an extensive junior coaching programme from four year olds upwards and a full adult programme from beginners to advanced. We have a team of 4 professional coaches, all with extensive knowledge and coaching skills, head by tennis pro Chris Paraskos.

New outdoor court surface - Playright II

We are delighted with our new outdoor tennis carpet, which is a resilient multi-purpose carpet surface. As a tennis court, it plays more like a clay court than grass and promotes longer rallies. Its consistent and even medium pace allows for perfect stroke play. It has been developed and refined over several years to provide players with an alternative surface to the traditional sand-filled sports carpets such as Tenniturf.

The dimensional stability of Playright II is well proven, due to the needle punch construction and scrim reinforcement incorporated into the product at the time of manufacture. It’s a truly multipurpose surface that is well suited to tennis and many other activities. It benefits from a lower level of after care and maintenance because of its low surface to sand ratio. Play takes place on the fibre of the product and not on the sand.

Its even, medium pace makes it ideal for coaching, family tennis and competitions. It plays like the very best macadam and grips while damp. Play lines remain prominent throughout the life of the Playright II surface.
