DANCE STUDIOS

The Academy Dance Studios combine a sprung maple floor with air conditioning to give you the best of workout environments, offering a very comprehensive timetable of over 65 classes per week to suit all ages and abilities.

Body Balance

A choreographed toning and relaxation class combining techniques from Pilates and yoga. Increase mobility, flexibility, and muscle strength.

Body Combat

Combines powerhouse moves and stances from a variety of martial arts. It's an empowering, athletic workout that will have you 'fighting fit' in record time!

Body Jam

A high energy choreographed dance class that combines the latest moves from Hip Hop, Funk, Latino, Disco and Broadway to make it a fun all over workout.

Body Pump

A choreographed non-impact workout using barbells and adjustable weights, aimed at all over muscle tone.

Aerobics / Dance Aerobics

A high energy choreographed workout. Instructors have their own style with difficulty levels as indicated on the timetable.

Body Conditioning / Body Blitz / Legs, Bums, Tums

A low impact combination of choreographed workout and conditioning exercises.

Boxercise

Aerobic and strength conditioning with boxing moves involved.

Step

A medium impact total body workout featuring set routines.

Circuit Training

Exercises are based in a station format as you move around for set time periods. There are high and low impact alternatives.

Energy Cycling

A low impact group cycling class based in the Studio that simulates all the experiences of outdoor cycling. The ultimate calorie burner!

Aquacise / Tone

Low impact aerobics and toning work in water.

Zumba®

A Latin inspired dance-fitness class. It incorporates Latin and world styles of dance creating a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system!

Classic Style Pilates (Joseph Pilates)

Developed by Joseph Pilates as a form of exercise in a confined space, classic style Pilates emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength*, flexibility and awareness in order to support efficient and graceful movement.

* The balanced development of the deep and superficial muscles that stabilise, align and move the trunk of the body, especially the abdominals and muscles of the back.

Hatha Yoga

The most common style of yoga in Europe. A mixture of gentle and stronger stretches breathing and relaxation. Suitable for all levels and abilities.

Astanga Yoga

A fast paced physical yoga that uses a specific form of breathing. There is a constant flowing movement, linking from one posture to the next. Requires stamina.

Satyananda Yoga

Referred to as the yoga of the head, heart and hands. Satyananda yoga aims to bring the body, mind and spirit together as a whole. Gentle and meditative, good for stress release and meditation.

Kids Yoga

Improves concentration, flexibility and inner calm whilst having fun in a non-competitive environment.
